Rules for Mission Travel
Maintain a strong emphasis on preparation and focus … we’re ON MISSION FOR CHRIST!
- Place the T.I.M.E. Team under the authority of the existing ministry leadership team.
- Be prepared for effective ministry, morning, afternoon and evening of each day. Dedicate every moment to be ON MISSION FOR CHRIST and to count for the Kingdom of God.
- In the event of FREE TIME in the itinerary, it is to be dedicated to rest and quiet time. FREE TIME is not be used for recreation, sightseeing, or souvenir shopping purposes.
- Extra curricular activities during mission crusades, or evangelistic encounters, are to be avoided in favor of ministry activities … if not scheduled, create ministry opportunities.
- Assure the existing ministry leadership that T.I.M.E. Teams expect to be active in ministry morning, afternoon and evening each day … encourage scheduling toward the goal.
- Dress code is as follows:
… Female, Skirts and blouses; long-length dresses (below the knee); Avoid
low neck-line tops; modest appearance; avoid excessive make-up and jewelry.
… Male, Slack trousers (not blue jeans); button-up shirts or good looking golf
shirts; comfortable shoes (avoid sneakers); Shirt and tie for Sunday morning
services.
… Clothing principles also apply to travel time.
- With the exception of married couples, members of opposite gender are not permitted to meet in motel or hotel rooms. Gatherings should occur in lobbies or open spaces.
- To murmur, grumble, or complain is forbidden during any T.I.M.E. Ministry function. Perpetrators will be sent back to “EGYPT!”
- Affectionate greetings between male and female team members (hugging, touching, etc.) while on mission for Christ is unacceptable. Improper signals are often assumed by others by such behavior.
