The Birthplace of T.I.M.E.

           In February, 2011, the  T.I.M.E. International Ministry, Inc., will celebrate its 15^th Anniversary.  Who would have imagined what our eternal Heavenly Father was up to when an uncle and his nephew met at the NEPTUNE DINER (see picture on right) in Astoria, Queens, New York City, at midnight for a piece of pie and a cup of coffee.

             The setting was a mission crusade to the BIG APPLE. God was at work doing His mighty things ... multiple souls being saved; Pastors and Christian workers being trained and encouraged; hundreds of Gospel tracts being distributed. The mission was dedicated to carrying the GOOD NEW on to the streets of Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx and Manhattan.

             Uncle John Kassab was a mission team member. He invited his nephew, Dick Thomassian, to join him for a little refreshment at the NEPTUNE DINER. The conversation at the table centered around mission evangelism. Uncle John was so blessed to witness the effectiveness of creative arts in open-air street and block party evangelism. He challenged Dick to engage in this kind of ministry in a continual manner. Dick's response was that he wished he could but that he didn't have the financial resources to launch such a ministry. Uncle John took out his checkbook and wrote a check for $10,000 and stated "here is your seed money to get the  T.I.M.E. Ministry launched."

             That seed money was immediately planted in harvest soil throughout the entire world. What started out as a $10,000 budget has multiplied 40 times in today's budget. The lesson learned is that God is still in the business of multiplication:

• over 115,000 Recorded Salvation Decisions
• over   10,000 Pastors and Christian Workers trained in mission evangelism
• over     1,700 Evangelical churches represented in the training process
• 50 New churches and preaching centers planted
• Funding for the construction of 20 new church buildings

            Who knows what the Lord may do the next time you, and someone that you love and respect, sit in a diner over a piece of pie and a cup of coffee.  Any takers?  Anybody ready to do some serious seed planning for the Kingdom?
