Life’s Greatest Discovery
Life’s Greatest Discovery happens when you experience the joy of a personal relationship with the God who created the universe. This relationship happens through God’s Son…Jesus Christ! Many people know about God but the awesome truth is that you can know God personally.
There is nothing you can do to earn or achieve this relationship but God Himself has made it possible for you to know Him.
The Bible says, "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." (John 3:16-17)
"Now this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent." (John 17:3)
That is Great News … you can know God personally but there is a problem!
Sin separates us from God and our corruption is to such a degree that we cannot know Him personally and cannot experience His love. God's Word says, "All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23) You were created to have fellowship with God today and forever in heaven, but because of sin (i.e., anything that is against the righteousness revealed in God's Law) will prevent you from enjoying God’s fellowship and company.
The Bible affirms, "The wages of sin is death." (Romans 6:23a) Death means separation and this spiritual death creates a separation between you and God, now and forever. The ultimate result of death is to spend eternity in a place the Bible calls Hell. That is the heart of the problem. Man is sinful and God is holy. God can not allow sin into heaven. This creates a gulf unbridgeable by man making that intended fellowship impossible.
"But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear." (Isaiah 59:2, NIV)
So, what is the solution to the problem?
The only solution is a divine bridge — that bridge is the person Jesus Christ.
God created a way to Him by sending His Son to pay the price for our sin. "God demonstrated His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8) Jesus died in our place; He who knew no sin became sin for us. This incredible act of love removed our burden of sin and allows us to enter into that desired fellowship with God. "For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God." (1 Peter 3:18, NIV)
Jesus is the only way! There is only one bridge that reaches God. In His own words Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." (John 14:6) It is not enough that you know a lot of truthful facts. You must know The Truth, Jesus Christ. You must personally place your trust in Jesus Christ as your Master and Savior. Trust means that you depend on Him, not your human goodness to establish a relationship with God. You must ask God to forgive you of your sins and believe in Jesus Christ as God’s Son and your Savior. When you walk across that Bridge by faith then you become a child of God.
"But as many as receive Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name." (John 1:12).
"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)
You can receive Jesus Christ right now by faith. You are only a PRAYER away from Life’s Greatest Discovery.
"If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation." (Romans 10:9-10)
Will you pray a prayer right now?
“Dear Jesus, Thank you for loving me. I know I am a sinner and have displeased You in many ways. I believe that you are the Son of God who died for me. I am sorry for my sins and I ask that you please forgive me. Come into my life and make me a new person.”
If you prayed this prayer... "Congratulations!”
The Bible says ..."Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Romans 10:13, NIV) Did you sincerely ask Jesus Christ to come into your life? "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast." (Ephesians 2:8,9, NIV) Receiving Christ means being born into God's family through the work of the Holy Spirit who indwells every believer. This is called the "new birth." Congratulations are in order because you now have two birthdays; one physical and one spiritual.
